SCHOOL

Welcome to the Holy Angels BCV International School. We are situated in a beautiful campus of 25 acres located by the Trivandrum-Tirunelveli Highway.The school has excellent modern facilities consisting of two large classroom buildings: a spacious upper primary/lower secondary school and an eco-friendly building for nursery and lower primary students. A brand new computer resource centre and science facility allow students of all ages to develop essential IT and technical skills. In addition, the extensive sports grounds enable the students to participate in a wide range of physical activities.

The school opened on the 1st June 2014 with just 18 students and has grown steadily ever since. It was founded by the Brothers of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, thanks to the tireless efforts and vision of their former Superior General, Brother Reverend Dr. Victordass. The school works in close collaboration with Friends of India, a Swiss NGO who provide professional educational advice and teacher training. The letters BCV refer to the Swiss bank, Banque Cantonal Vaudoise who gave us a generous donation in 2013 to help build the school.

PRINCIPAL'S DESK

It is my privilege to welcome you to our school website. The school has classes from Pre KG (Lower Kindergarten) to Grade 10. It is a co-educational, English medium day school. We follow the CBSE curriculum integrated with international teaching methods which makes our school unique and exciting in the area of Tirunelveli.

Our aim is to spark the academic and creative potential in each student and encourage an open-minded awareness of our modern world. We teach our students to be confident, responsible learners giving them many opportunities to exhibit their learning through special assemblies, performances and public speaking occasions.

MANAGEMENT

The school is run by the Brothers of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The Board is headed by the Superior General Reverend Brother Velankanni Ravi; the Educational Secretary, Reverend Brother Gasper and the Correspondent Reverend Brother M.D.Vijo,SHJ.
Mrs.M.Sornalatha is the Principal.

The school is also supported enthusiastically by a Parents Committee with a President and committee members.

INTERNATIONAL CONNECTIONS

The links between our school and international education in Switzerland are unique in Tamil Nadu. The School's pedagogical approach has been guided by Mrs Diana Smith who has a wealth of experience directing international schools in Monaco and Switzerland as well as being the co-founder of the Aga Khan Academy in Hyderabad. Ms Diana visits regularly to provide in-service teacher training and leadership support. We also have frequent visits from European teachers and interns who are particularly valuable in enriching language teaching and culturalties.
